Early military records, like any other early records, often contain many spellings errors and other discrepanies. The databases on this page were prepared to consolidate all the various data available on certain soldiers in certain units.

There are databases for both Revolutionary and Civil War records.

Revolutionary War data

This section will attempt to document people who are listed in Dar records, found pension records and rejected pension claims. Follow this link to the list.

Civil War data

The AG roster of Civil War soldiers indicates several men that served in out of county Civil War units enlisted in Broome County towns. Their names will be listed here as the data is found. This list does not include all units. For example, the 137th has its own roster page and to be included here would be redundant.

Also listed on this page will be military lists compiled on the town level or county level, such as CW deaths of people from the town of Union, or the soldiers list from Beers Atlas of Broome County.

The third column indicates the source for the listing.

The Civil War MDP files are broken down into smaller files for ease of loading, based on the first letter of the soldiers last name. Each of the letters below are hyperlinked to its own listing, unless there were no soldiers names that started with that letter. Letters without any data are in italics in the table below and are not linked.
