JOHNSON   --     My g'grandfather (Henry R. Johnston), on his son's marriage record, has Sheshequin listed as his place of birth. His wife (on the same marriage record) has her birthplace listed as Unadilla, NY. My grandfather and at least one brother list "Binghamton" as their birthplace; my g'father (William Emmett Johnston) was born in 1872, and his brother, Charles H. Johnston, was born prior to that. On the 1855 census, "Binghamton" did not exist; could Henry R. Johnston have been from Chenango, were William & Charles born someplace else (other than Binghamton) in Broome County, and, was Henry's wife, Celestra, actually from Union, instead of Unadilla?
