Levi Bornt - Member of the 50th Engineers, Company E

Born in 1832 on "Bornt Hill" just over the line in Tioga Co., NY. Was a farmer and the son of a War of 1812 soldier.

military history: enlisted Aug. 29th, 1864 to serve one year. mustered in as a private in Co. D. 50th New York Engineers. mustered out with company on Jun. 13, 1865.

After the war:
Moved to Endicott. Married Mary V. Dodge. Died in 1907 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Endwell, Broome Co., NY
